The Department of Homeland Security issued a Binding Operational Directive 18-01, which mandates that all government entities need to implement DMARC by 2018. Today, many California State agencies are not in compliance. Implementing DMARC protects your agency from fraudulent emails being sent out to other agencies, vendors, and citizens.
