Introduction to Neo4j & Graph Data Modeling

In April, Neo4j hosted a two day hands-on training with data experts at 探花视频's office in Reston, VA.
Day 1, an Introduction to Neo4j, explored graph databases and their primary use cases for enterprise organizations. Built for all skill levels, the course covered:
- Differences between a relational data model and a graph property model
- How to write Cypher queries and statements to manage data in the Neo4j database
- How to add constraints and indexes, monitor queries and import relational CSV data into a Neo4j database
- The Neo4j Graph Platform components and how to set up your development environment for Cypher, the query language used for a Neo4j database (a graph)
For Day 2, Neo4j experts hosted an intermediate-level training on Graph Data Modeling with Neo4j. Attendees learned how to design and implement a graph data model through a mixture of instruction and hands-on practice before applying the property graph model to solve for common enterprise challenges. This course covered:
- Advanced queries with Cypher
- Graph based modeling strategy and techniques
- Real-world implementation use cases with Neo4j
- How your agency can evolve an existing graph in a controlled manner to support new requirements
