Solving STIGs and Automating Compliance with Splunk

Event Date: August 16, 2022
Hosted By: Kinney Group & 探花视频
Federal security professionals within the DoD must comply with the technical testing and hardening frameworks known as STIGs 鈥 Security Technical Implementation Guides. STIGs contain technical guidance for 鈥渓ocking down鈥 or 鈥渉ardening鈥 information systems and software that might be vulnerable to a malicious computer attack.

While security is perhaps the single most important task federal IT professionals tackle, it鈥檚 also the most complex. There are hundreds of STIGs, with new guides being released every 90 days. Generating STIG checklists and maintaining compliance requires a series of existing third-party systems, cumbersome spreadsheets, and time-consuming manual effort.

Kinney Group鈥檚 STIG Compliance application, part of the Atlas Platform, provides a comprehensive solution for the implementation and management of STIGs. Leveraging Splunk and industry-leading automation technology, Atlas STIG Compliance helps to solve the most common compliance challenges from system accreditation through continuous monitoring 鈥 all in a beautiful, unified interface that provides a single source of truth for managing compliance.

Participants joined us for a webinar where we discussed:
  • What are STIGs, and what makes them so complex and time consuming?
  • How Atlas 鈥 The Creator Enablement Platform for Splunk 鈥 can directly solve the STIG challenge with solutions built on top of enterprise-ready tools used in the federal space for years
  • The Atlas components required to solve the STIG compliance problem and how they can be used together or individually
  • The impact Atlas STIG compliance will have in the federal space, and how it can radically reduce time and cost associated with operating Splunk
