A global study of 1,000 organizations shows that while 96% have cyber crisis response plans, most struggle with real-world readiness due to communication gaps, outdated plans, unclear roles and tool overload—staffing shortages rank lowest among blockers. Despite regular practice exercises, 71% experienced at least one high-impact incident in the past year, revealing that true preparedness depends more on coordination and holistic testing than on plan existence or headcount.
