The Case for Zero Trust Starts with Identity

Event Date: May 07, 2026
Hosted By: Akamai & ̽»¨ÊÓƵ

Customers joined us on May 7th at the ̽»¨ÊÓƵ Conference & Collaboration Center for a half-day event built around one argument: the case for Zero Trust starts with identity, and Least Permissive Trust is the operational standard that makes it real.

DHS Senior Executive Service leader shared where the mandate is clear and where implementation stalls. Akamai's federal architects presented a live technical demonstration of Least Permissive Trust enforcement across connected, contested and DDIL environments. Attendees learned how DOJ's Justice Edge Trust Service (JETS) and ITSSS-2 enable a 30-day Zero Trust POC without a new acquisition action, leaving with a named next step, procurement vehicle and Akamai contact.

Attendees walked away able to:

  • Deploy a Least Permissive Trust architecture using Akamai EAA, Guardicore, and Tactical ICAM that satisfies CJIS Advanced Authentication and OMB M-22-09 across connected, contested and denied network environments
  • Protect digital evidence integrity, PACER and CM/ECF court infrastructure, and N-DEx data exchanges against API-layer attacks and lateral movement scenarios most likely to disrupt a federal prosecution
  • Enforce Least Permissive Trust for field agents operating in denied or degraded network conditions using Tactical ICAM offline PIV authentication and Guardicore workload segmentation that holds without a live cloud connection
  • Execute a 30-day Zero Trust POC under existing ITSSS-2 or GSA MAS authority without a new acquisition action, using JETS as the DOJ shared service procurement path
