SAP Ariba Downstream Featuring Los Alamos National Laboratory

Event Date: January 27, 2022
Hosted By: SAP & ̽»¨ÊÓƵ

This webinar featured the Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) Christine Hipp, who delivered an informative presentation. She has over 20 years of experience in business and in IT. With the move to the Acquisition Services Management Division, she is responsible for the implementation of SAP Ariba and Fieldglass Source to Pay software. This was more than just software installation. The project also included a comprehensive transformation and optimization of the procurement processes. As the Center of Excellence Leader, Christine focuses on continuous improvement, analytics, and solution optimization in the Acquisition Services Management Division.

Ariba Downstream modules, such as guided buying, purchasing, and invoicing, as well as a robust catalog implementation have enabled LANL to meet its procurement needs much more efficiently.

In terms of their Downstream Procurement Transformation, Los Alamos had aggressive goals that include:

  • Guided Buying as a single point of entry for all Ariba modules - simplifying user adoption
  • Commodity-based guided buying with tactical sourcing and catalog purchases available to all users
  • Growth of catalog offerings with searchable content within Ariba guided buying, content increases from 100,000 items to over 3 million items
  • Utilization of the Downstream Procurement desk to enable "touchless" and "low touch" transactions, resulting in a downstream cycle time equal to Ariba Best in Class 6 months after go-live

Not Your Grandparents' ZTNA: Why Zero Trust Edge Will Supercharge the Government's Move to ZTNA

Versa Networks, Okta, SentinelOne and GitLab hosted an exclusive roadshow on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Huntsville, AL. All government organizations are expected to achieve "Target Level" Zero Trust Architecture by 2027. This requires multiple security functions to identify, authenticate and authorize users or devices based on posture to securely connect to applications. As a result, Versa Networks, Okta, SentinelOne and GitLab have developed a ZTNA approach that will transform the government's networks around security hardened edge, XDR, IAM and application security.
