Previously distinct and siloed Operational Technology (OT) systems are now increasingly susceptible to – and targets of – cyber attack. Integration with IT networks and connections to the Internet have greatly expanded the attack surface. Couple this with changes in user profiles and access requirements, namely more remote access for vendors, employees (operators), suppliers and contractors, and OT security teams are facing new, significant security challenges.
