WVU IT team members used a legacy password manager that was in use for eight years prior to switching to Keeper. The outdated access controls and complicated user interface of the old system hindered its adoption by end users and made it challenging for administrators to see and generate reports. In addition, after the solution's first implementation, its cost has increased significantly, while the vendor's level of customer support has decreased. The WVU IT team ultimately determined it was time to replace the solution because the costs outweighed the benefits.
