The app supports iOS and Android on phones and tablets and can operate in offline mode so officers can continue working when connectivity is limited. The OnSafety™ Incident Geolocation System is a cloud-based application that connects directly to an agency’s crash reporting environment and returns calculated coordinates and roadway referencing outputs—such as intersection/offset positions, route and milepost positions, and related attributes—via standard formats like JSON or XML. For agencies focused on downstream quality and batch correction, the OnSafety™ Crash GeoLocator automatically consumes raw crash data, corrects common referencing and spelling errors, and determines latitude/longitude at scale using a structured geolocation workflow that supports multiple location reference methods (including intersection offset, milepost offset, address, ramp, and more).
